My name is Matthew Lipke and I am a student at IUPUI’s Herron School of Art + Design, where I am currently studying Visual Communications Design. I am entering my senior year at Herron, where I will be finishing my Bachelors in Fine Arts degree. From 2012 to 2015, I was a student at Valparaiso University, where I completed coursework towards a degree in Digital Media Arts.
I have held numerous positions as a graphic design intern with companies such as IUPUI, Fletcher Place Community Center, and Trends International. Currently, I am a graphic design intern for IUPUI’s Offices of Communications. As a design intern for the IUPUI Offices of Communications, I create various deliverables for different organizations around the IUPUI campus. Banners, flyers, imprints, postcards, brochures and digital signage are all examples of the work I help create for IUPUI. I also led the project development for the IUPUI National Student Employee Appreciation Week, in which I created all signage, deliverables and promotional items.
For two years, I worked as a teaching artist for Art in the City. Art in the City is a summer art program for underprivileged youth in the Indianapolis area, I taught and led a weekly summer recreational program designed to educate youth on the importance of the arts. Located at Fletcher Place Community Center, the Art in the City program’s curriculum was created by myself, as well as other interns. This program was developed for children to learn about the arts, create their own projects and art shows, and take field trips to local museums.
I have developed numerous freelance projects for organizations such as KL Interiors, Prairie State College, and the Evans Scholars Chapter at the University of Notre Dame. If you would like to learn more about me, my resume is available. As always, you can contact me through the tab at the bottom of the page and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
